Culture Colony & CCQ Magazine required a website to promote both the magazine and the artistic community in Wales.
Siruss were approached by Culture Colony and asked to provide a solution which combined both the CCQ print & online magazine whilst at the same time providing a centre for the artistic community in Wales.
Drupal was selected as the platform of choice for the website. The design of the website ensured each of its sectors were individual silos containing all the relevant information needed, ranging from news, reviews, publications, video and audio. A strong emphasis was placed on the user experience of registered members to form an online community with configurable profiles as well as an integrated messaging system providing each member with a 'messenger' style inbox and the ability to build their online Culture Colony presence.
Video and Audio were key elements of the website, Custom Drupal modules were developed to fully integrate both Vimeo Pro and SoundCloud APIs to dynamically link the website into both media accounts and seamlessly stream both media types directly on the website. Custom administration interfaces were developed in additional custom Drupal modules for the Culture Colony administrators, allowing them to fully manage all media directly from the Drupal administration area.
Live video streaming and the ability to purchase tickets for live stream events was incorporated to promote Culture Colony Video (CCV). Online advertising was incorporated to provide additional revenue streams for the client with time/cost based advertisement groups and full statistics/reporting for the advertiser.
What The Client Says
We are delighted with the Culture Colony web site that the team at Siruss have made for us. They were very easy to work with, they took on our vague ideas, they were extremely patient with us, and they turned our ramblings into a workable online utility that we now hope the cultural sector will use and share for work and pleasure.
